2017 IMGA ANNUAL MEETING

The 2017 IMGA Annual Meeting was held in Springfield, IL on March 28th at the Northfield Inn and Conference Center. Members enjoyed great food and informative sessions on Pipeline Safety Regulations and the Effects on Operator Qualification Programs, Natural Gas Outlook, and State Budget Impact on Pipeline Safety and One-Call Enforcement Program.


After a breakfast buffet sponsored by BP Canada, the IMGA Board of Directors held their Business Meeting. The fiscal year audit ending 4-30-2016 was presented and approved. Contracts were approved with Southern Illinois University Carbondale, BP Canada, and Country Financial Lease Agreement. The slate of officers for 2017-2018 were approved and will be: Craig Robinson (Pleasant Hill), Steve Edwards (Waverly), Darrell Dunlap (Fulton, MO), Mike Millikin (Pinckneyville), Bill Scheiwe (Pittsfield), and Paul Turpin (Franklin).

 

The day's first speaker was Angela Pickett Central Region-Community Liaison Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, who spoke on Pipeline Safety Regulations and the Effects on Operator Qualification Programs.

 

The next speaker was Trevor Cooper, Manager, Marketing & Origination BP Canada Energy Marketing Corp., who spoke on Natural Gas Price Outlook.

 

Lunch was a delicious Prime Rib and Shrimp buffet sponsored by Panhandle Eastern Pipeline.

 

The final speaker was Bill Riley, Interim Pipeline Safety Program Manager Illinois Commerce Commission. He spoke on State Budget Impact on Pipeline Safety and One-Call Enforcement Programs.


At the end of the day, General Manager Viele drew names for door prized donated by BP Canada, Northfield Inn and IMGA.
